Ensures Sales and Operating Profit objectives achievement for its segment/region
Maintains a perfect knowledge of its market segment/region and competition analysis
Defines and implements Strategic Marketing plan for its segment/region
Ensures accuracy and effectiveness of marketing programs and tools on his / her segment/region
Support and manages the pre-sales, providing solution & product descriptions & Collateral.
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
1) Identifies market trend and anticipates customer & distributor needs evolution to ensure Alcatel Lucent solutions answer
market
- Request to BU to have new functionalities on products by providing demands and financial arguments
- Participate to the definition of added- value services and solutions
- Participate and lead final pricing and positioning of Alcatel products in coordination with BU
- Ensures interface between BU and the Area Marketing Director and regional Sales for business and products related issues
Defines actions to support ALU product from launching to phase out, plays the role of "Sales Engineer/ Support
- Contributes to Strategic Marketing Plan on his / her segment in coordination with relevant functions.
- Ensures interface with BU, Market Analysis and clusters to define accurate messages to Sales, channels and customers.
- Defines Product launching strategy , tools and campaigns on his / her segment and pilots their conception (target, message and budget) in coordination with Marketing Direction to ensure objectives achievement
- Develop sales tools
- Pilots and manages budget allocated by RSC
- Ensures accurate Sales tools and training
Ensure Evangelization/Communication around Products /Market
- Transfer know-how to local teams
- Participate to major conferences and customer presentation including (press analysts)
- Develop press analyst strategy and tools
- Defines pertinent indicators to assess actions effectiveness in coordination with Marketing Department
- Follows up Clusters actions and defines necessary adjustments in coordination with Account Management.
- Evaluates ROI of marketing programs in coordination with Marketing Leverage and defines action plans to improve it in coordination with Marketing Department
6) Detailed creation of the agreed [PR1] Network/Solution design and Strategy.

Providing responses to the technical questions in the RFx on a paragraph by paragraph basis.
8) Create proposed price information based on the network/solution design
9) Effort estimates if specific engineering design/development is required. The effort can either be generic or dedicated.
10) Effort estimates and planning of system integration and/or operational activities& services.
11) Deployment Timeline
12) Terms & Conditions analysis & responses.
13) Offer Review – commercial and technical solution package
14) Working together with Program Management and Lead BD for Projects Financial
15) Analyses / Profit/Loss analysis (IPIS)
16) Project Risk Analysis
Qualifications
Relevant Engineering degree (EE, Telcom, MIS/ IT)
Experience in Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales or equivalent areas in Telecom Company.
Good communication skills.
Expert in GPON.
Ability to manage complexity.
